Every McTernan Snowboard is one of a kind.
Surfboard Inspired Abstract Resin Work

Hand-Crafted in Tahoe by Keith McTernan
I do every aspect of construction by hand on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe. I've been an avid snowboarder for 25 years, and a lifelong surfer and skateboarder. I'm a materials engineer with a background in manufacturing and design. Now retired from industry, I split my time between the North Shore of Lake Tahoe and the North Shore of Kauai — snowboarding, making snowboards, surfing, making surfboards, and spending every moment I can with my amazing wife and kids.
Premium materials
Every core uses vertical-grain bamboo for dampness and pop. I use Durasurf 4001 sintered bases — never die-cut — Resin Research premium epoxy, and Task21 sidewall urethane cured in a pressure chamber. Edges are hand-formed at 48HRC, harder than most factory boards, so they hold an edge longer.
Tahoe Hand-Crafted
